The American Prize in Wind Ensemble 2015

Last year our symphonic band applied for The American Prize in wind ensemble performance. We are honored to be selected as a finalist for this award. The American Prize is a series of new, non-profit national competitions in the performing arts providing cash awards, professional adjudication and regional, national and international recognition for the best recorded performances by ensembles and individuals each year in the United States at the professional, college/university, church, community and secondary school levels.

Parkview Low Brass Choir Selected to Perform at GMEA

Members from the Symphonic Band's low brass section have been selected to perform at the 2016 Georgia Music Educators In-Service Conference in Athens, GA on January 29th! We are very proud of the hard work these students put it preparing for this lobby group application. We are honored to represent Parkview and Gwinnett County at the GMEA conference this year!

Symphonic Band selected to perform at the 2016 KSU Concert Invitational

Based on an application of recordings, our Symphonic Band was chosen to perform at the 2016 KSU Concert Invitational, February 26-27, 2016. We are very excited for the acceptance and will be sending more details out in the Fall!

14th Annual Eagle's Nest Invitational Marching Band Competition

The Parkview Marching band went to our final competition of the season this past weekend at Collins Hill. We swept the 4A competition bracket winning all captions and the following awards:

  • Best in Music Performance
  • Best in Visual Performance
  • Best in General Effect
  • Best in class Colorguard
  • Best in class Band
  • 2nd overall to Lassiter High School

Our combined score was 907 (that's really good). If you saw our show this year, you saw how cool and impactful it was. We are so thrilled to have been successful at competition in addition to providing an entertaining show for our audiences. Thank you to all parents, staff, family, and friends who helped to make this year a tremendous success!
