The Wind Ensemble (Mastery Band Class)

The Wind Ensemble is the flagship and primary performing organization in the band program during the school year. Membership is by audition. This concert band focuses on the performance of significant wind band repertoire. Students participate in the marching band, District Honor Band, All-State Honor Band, solo and ensemble and District and State Large Group Performance Evaluations as well as school concert events. This band is occasionally invited to perform at state, regional, national, and international events.

Most recent performance highlights: 2024 Georgia Music Educators Association In-Service Conference; and the 2023 Music For All National Concert Band Festival presented by YAMAHA.


The Wind Symphony (Advanced Band Class)

The Wind Symphony is the secondary performing organization in the band program during the school year. Membership is by audition. Students participate in the marching band, District Honor Band, All-State Honor Band, solo and ensemble and District and State Large Group Performance Evaluations as well as school concert events. This band is occasionally invited to perform in state, regional, and national events.


The Concert Band (Intermediate Band Class)

The Concert Winds, also known as “the campus band” is the tertiary performing organization in the band program during the school year. There is no audition required for students to participate. The students participate in the marching band, District Honor Band, and District and State Large Group Performance Evaluations as well as school concert events.
