Please join us in congratulating the Senior Class of 2024! These students were dismissed from Trickum Middle School on Friday, March 13th, 2020 expecting to return in “a few weeks after quarantine”. They endured a year and a half of Zoom classes, and no telling of when they would be able to go back to school, back to sports, back to band, back to life. Of all these students would have had a fair reason to give up, these students continued in the band program, and thus became one of the most successful senior classes in recent years. Their efforts allowed our groups to be remarkably successful through the last few years. They earned an invitation to perform at The National Concert Band Festival, presented by YAMAHA in Indianapolis in 2023; They earned an invitation to perform at The Georgia Music Educators Association In-Service Conference in 2024l; and their legacy set the Parkview Marching Band up to perform at the Rome New Year’s Day Parade in Rome, Italy in 2025!
Congratulations on all your accomplishments in band and beyond, and best of luck in your future. Thank you for your belief, passion, and resilience through the most difficult 4 years any high school student could have ever experienced. Your grace and commitment are truly inspiring!
